"Hello! My name is Haley and I am a full time Speech Language Pathologist. I have experience working in the public schools and in a clinical setting. I am looking to tutor evenings and weekends in the areas of reading and writing and would also feel confident teaching 1st-2nd year Spanish. I enjoy working both one on one with students and with small groups. The best thing about tutoring and teaching is getting to see a student go from absolutely loathing a subject to feeling confident and proud!

As a Speech Language Pathologist, I have background training and knowledge in the core areas that make someone a successful reader and writer-phonology, morphology, syntax, and semantics. I am trained in levels 1-3 of the Barton Reading Program and am working on training for further levels.

In addition to taking Spanish as a second language in high school, I took six semesters for a minor during my undergraduate years in college. I also participated in a study abroad semester in Central America that allowed me to be fully immersed in the language, both formally through coursework and informally through a homestay program.
