"I have experience tutoring across literacy, age, and subject as a writing tutor and librarian. Recently, I have gained some experience with youth services helping kids learn to read and helping with ready for kindergarten classes at the library. As a writing tutor in my undergrad, I worked with a variety of people across age and education (including cross-cultural experiences), and have ESOL/ESL training.

I recently graduated from Syracuse University with an MLIS (Library Science Master's) with as Certificate of Advanced Study in Disability studies. Thus, I have educational training related to disability, particularly those with learning disabilities and assistive technology. I also have excellent research skills and have been published. This is something I am excited to help clients with as well, if so desired.

I love tutoring because I love making those connections. I've had so many wonderful experiences learning from library patrons and helping them discover and love reading. It's also an incredible experience to know when you have helped someone learn and become successful. Literacy is an essential skill in this society and I hope I can help those who need and want to improve.
