I'm Dave. My goal is to help you excel in your academic and professional pursuits. I have over a decade of experience supporting writers to master their craft, as a former commissioning editor of a British literary journal and a co-editor of four scholarly books, distributed by MIT Press. My own published works—which include book chapters, journal articles, white papers, and poetry—total more than 300,000 words. With this expertise, I will teach you how to stand out among your peers, whether you're writing a personal statement, a college essay, or the next bestselling book.

My experience as an educator includes working as a regional clinical tutor for the University of Cambridge School of Clinical Medicine. Before that, I provided 1-to-1 tutoring in Social and Environmental Sciences to a student at Harvard Extension School. I am also experienced in educational public speaking, having presented my work at 20+ academic events across 5 countries, directed 2 award-winning lecture series, and co-organized 9 international research conferences. I have been invited to give verbal evidence to the UK Parliament and my work has been referenced by lawmakers in Parliamentary debates on at least 3 occasions.

I specialize in applications to medical school and residency programs. I am a UK-trained medical graduate (IMG) with interviews at 7 of the Top 10 Psychiatry Residency Programs in the US (2024). I completed my medical degree at King's College London (2021), winning the Dr. Abbas Khan Medal for "Outstanding Humanitarian Contributions to the Service of Society" in my final year. After graduation, I was awarded a competitive 2-year Foundation Fellowship by the Royal College of Psychiatrists. I know how tough it can be to succeed, especially as an IMG, but I'm here to help!
