"Hi! I'm Abhiravi, but you can call me Abhi. I graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology. I was also part of the California State University, Los Angeles Honors college. My learning philosophy is inspired by the teachers and professors whose lessons still stick with me today. I encourage curiosity, I believe in creative solutions, and I try to find ways to make learning fun. My approach changes depending on the subject my student needs help with, thus making my teaching style flexible enough to accommodate various learning styles. Even if I cannot answer a question immediately, I am happy to work with my student so we can find the answer together.

I have a year of tutoring experience with Neighborhood Homework House in Azusa, CA. I worked directly with students in grades 9-11 who needed assistance with any subject. I assisted with Chemistry, Algebra, Geometry, Spanish, and Biology. I would help students answer their homework questions by explaining what the question was asking and then show them the steps or concepts that would help them solve the problem. A few of my students required additional assistance due to learning disabilities and I was always happy to give them that extra help. Whether it was breaking down the concept further or just motivating them to finish their homework, I did my best. As someone with an attention disorder, I understand that some students may need additional assistance academically.

Before we begin any tutoring, I would prefer to meet virtually in order to have a 15-30 minute consultation session so we can determine how I can best assist you as well as our hours of meeting. I request that, should you wish to cancel a session, you give me 24 hours notice or, if it's an emergency, shoot me an message when you can, so I may be informed.
