"I have had many jobs in my life, but none so rewarding as instilling knowledge in those who seek it, especially when it is something they thought they could never comprehend. I got to practice this extensively as I progressed towards may bachelor's degree in social studies at WKU in semesters that involved observing classrooms at various grade levels before a semester as a student teacher at an alternative school. This included all social science subjects such as US History, World Civilizations, Economics and Political Science. But while these were what I taught, what I learned was how to adapt to various types of learners, much to the benefit of all involved.

Given the nature of my student teaching assignment, most learners were resistant, to say the least. But by adapting, interest was sparked and built upon, exceeding their expectations of themselves. I approach learning by establishing a pressure-free atmosphere to emphasize progress is beneficial to the learner as opposed to detrimental in the case of failure.
