"I am a M.A. Art History graduate student at the University of Oregon with a field of study in early Chinese art/ Buddhist art. Though my area of study is in East Asian Art, most of my undergraduate Art History courses riveted in Western classical arts. During the nascent stage of immigrating to the U.S. nearly 10 years ago, I possessed nearly no language of English. Such obstacle has never become a barrier throughout my journey of accomplishing academic success. I received an average GPA of 4.05 by the time I graduated from high school, received 5’s on both Calculas AB and BC exams and received a medal from Colorado School of Mines for the achievement in Math and Science. Though I’ve demonstrated an eminent logical skill in order to accomplish further more in the area of math and science, I’ve chosen the area of Art History as a field of graduate study because such subject comprised two of my most zealous areas of interest: art and history. I’ve earned a BFA degree in Graphic Design, Digital Art and Art History (specifically, Western Classical Art History) to demonstrate my ability as a contemporary artist and designer, as well as an academic and scholar. While I continue my education into graduate study right after my graduation, I made a decisive and deliberate decision of extending my professional life into the realm of academics and seek the pursue a PhD degree in Chinese Art History after my Master’s. I am a native Chinese speaker (both Mandarin and Cantonese), and fluent in English. I’ve also acquainted myself with another foreign language when I was an undergraduate student: I finished two levels of German. I am also rather familiar with Christian history and theory since I am a Catholic myself. While I am a tutor, I am also a friend who is trust worthy enough for you to have intellectual conversation or even share the ups and downs in your life with. My method of teaching (which also applies to my own learning techniques) is rather lucid: from general to specific. I will give you the easiest dissection of" less...
