"Science is my day job, but I do math for fun. While this may not make me the world's most interesting man, it does fuel my passion for helping others understand and solve the problems they face in their STEM education. As a lifelong learner, I am invested and take pride in my students' abilities to master the subjects they find most challenging. When my students do well on a math or science exam, I am just as gratified as they are. While I have taught/tutored a broad range of subjects within the sciences, I am most passionate about mathematics. I enjoy reading, weightlifting with my wife, playing Texas hold 'em or pool with my three sons, walking my dog (Scout), an occasional round of golf, and analyzing statistics for my fantasy football league (albeit a losing battle).

I graduated from Baylor University with a bachelor's degree in Biological Sciences (PreMed). After graduating, I attended Texas AM System Health Sciences Center and obtained a PhD in Multidisciplinary Medical Sciences. Currently, I am employed at Baylor College of Medicine (BCM) as an Assistant Professor and Laboratory Director (Clinical Microbiology, Immunology and Molecular Pathology) with their teaching hospital (Baylor St. Luke's Medical Center) where I teach BCM trainees (residents, fellows, etc.) laboratory science and carry out clinical research." less...
