"Hello! I'm Raiyan and I'm a current senior associate at a big 4 accounting firm with specializations in Financial accounting and Finance. I am also proficient in Microsoft excel and Microsoft 365 products such as Word and Outlook. I received my undergraduate degree in Biology with a minor in General Business from the University of Georgia in 2022. Following that, I pursued a Masters in Accounting with an emphasis in Financial Analysis from the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill in 2023. After I graduated, I started working at a big 4 firm during summer 2023 where I've had experience working on complex accounting areas such as revenue recognition, business combinations (M&A Accounting), and Annual Goodwill Impairment analyses, etc.

With my knowledge and experience in complex accounting topics, I was able to hone my skills in Finance as well by understanding topics such as the Time value of money principle, DCF analyses, the CAPM model, Working Capital analysis, etc.

My hands-on experience within the business world allows me to bridge the gap between academic concepts and real-world applications. I can assist you through the material while sharing valuable career advice about working in the Accounting and Finance world. As for my teaching style, I prefer to let the student lead our sessions as that will lead to a more collaborative environment where the student learns to think about the content through their lens instead of listening to how I would perceive the content.
