I have deep knowledge of R, particularly with respect to analysis of biological data, such as genomic, transcriptomic, proteomic, metagenomics, and single-cell data.
Previously, I was a professor at a major US university where I created and taught acclaimed courses in biostatistics with R, bacteriophage genomics, and biology for many years. I have over 8 years' teaching experience at the university level, and over 20 years research experience in bioinformatics, biostatistics and computational biology. I have a Ph.D. in mechanical engineering from the University of California, Berkeley, with a specialization in evolutionary computation and heat transfer. I use a hands-on approach in my teaching, where my focus is on working with real world data and focusing on giving students the skills they need to get things done." less...
