"My wife and I moved to San Diego from Minneapolis to be close to family here. Although I am new to tutoring, my career in research and manufacturing has given me experience in training others and teaching them new skills. While working at the University of Minnesota as senior laboratory technician, I trained people in analytical lab procedures. Also, as a process engineer for over 10 years, I taught new employees the principles and procedures needed in manufacturing. Since 2011, I have had the opportunity to learn new skills in several contract manufacturing roles, but this has not kept me as busy as I would like. I am looking forward to tutoring, which will help utilize my free time. I have patience and understanding, and look forward to helping others learn new skills on the path to reaching their goals.
With Bachelors of Science Degrees in Biology and Chemical Engineering from the University of Minnesota, I am comfortable with Math, Science and Technology, as well as other subjects. My tutoring method is to answer questions, solve problems, and work together with you in areas that you feel you could use more confidence and strength.
My Calculus and math knowledge is a result of my college coursework and work experience.
I have chemistry experience from my Chemical Engineering degree and industrial manufacturing experience.
My English experience comes primarily from my college coursework and interest in language.
I have experience with having taken the MCAT and applying for medical school.
I have used Microsoft Excel and other software in college and on the job.
Please contact me if you have any questions or would like more information. I would look forward hearing from you." less...
