"I have a Bachelor's and Master's degree in biology. I received my Master's in biology from Rutgers University, and my Bachelor's from Dickinson College. I have worked at research institutions in the field of biology for the last six years ranging from studying biomedical engineering and neuroscience at Columbia University, to ecology and evolution at a graduate university in Okinawa, Japan. Currently I live in Jamaica Plain, MA. I am particularly skilled at tutoring in biology and mathematics. I am a teaching fellow at Harvard for Genomics, Genetics, and Evolution, and I have taught the laboratory section of General Biology (Biology 101) and mammalian physiology at Rutgers for two years. Furthermore I have taught biology and entomology for high school students at Rutgers. I have even taught Japanese students about biology. My students have told me that I make the subject entertaining and understandable. I bring my strong enthusiasm for the subject to every class session. Biology and learning are what I want to do with my life and I hope you will see how amazing it is even if you don't want to be a scientist.
I am able to tutor any age groups. I have tutored undergraduates, high school, and elementary school students. I have tutored elementary school students in after school programs. While there I taught mathematics, reading, and writing. I am a professional writer, and I really want my students to succeed. I have an extensive background in Biology, Mathematics and writing; here is an abbreviated list of some of the classes I've taken and excelled at; Statistics, Calculus I/II, Great Theorems of Mathematics, Chemistry, Organic Chemistry I/II, Ecology, Evolution, Computational Ecology, Pharmacology I/II, Microbiology, and Physiology." less...
