"Hi, I'm Griffin! I graduated from Columbia University in 2022 with a B.S. degree in Earth and Environmental Engineering, where I was among the top percentile students in my chemistry, biology, engineering, and earth science classes. Many of these subjects did not come naturally to me, so I understand what it's like to struggle through and succeed in a confusing science class. My approach focuses on deepening your understanding of concepts with practice problems rather than just memorizing tricks and examples. I am deeply passionate about science and the environment and love to encourage students' curiosity and fascination with the natural world. I have experience mentoring high school students in science extracurricular competitions and tutoring at my high school writing center. I also love learning about history and can instruct students in some humanities subjects as well.

In college, I specialized in wastewater treatment engineering and environmental microbiology. After graduating, I worked as an environmental engineer in the private sector and then as a technician in an immunology research lab. In addition to high school and introductory college-level chemistry and biology, I can also provide specialized assistance with undergraduate-level environmental engineering subjects.
