"I believe that a great tutor provides a tool set for their student to solve difficult problems through their own efforts. By providing subject and student specific guidance, a tutor can, not only help a student master a specific topic, but also inspire self-confidence and curiosity. I enjoy discovering the individualized learning style of students and developing a personalized teaching plan that keeps them at a manageable but challenging pace."
I have always particularly enjoyed science and math classes. I have performed well throughout high school and college. I earned scores of 5 on my AP tests in Biology, Chemistry, Calculus AB, and Calculus BC. I achieved perfect scores on my SAT Biology and Mathematics II Subject tests. After high school, I continued my education at UC Davis, earning a bachelors in Entomology and a bachelors in Neurobiology, Physiology, and Behavior. Upon graduation, I had earned a cumulative GPA of 3.59, and the 2014 Outstanding Entomology Undergraduate award. I believe that my enthusiasm for the process of learning, and desire to understand the people I work with equip, me to effectively guide students through difficult subjects.
