"My name is Melanie and I am an Honors Biology graduate, graduated Cum Laude from Bridgewater State University. I love all things STEM and have been told by my peers and professors that I have a great way of simplifying complicated concepts. My love for learning has been with me since childhood, and the appreciation for teaching followed.

I have always been the person to help other students when they were struggling and I am now looking for a place where I can do it regularly. I have been tutoring for a total of 6 years. I tutored in high school as part of the Honors Society after school program, where I would help a group of 4-7 students with Biology and Algebra 1. In college I tutored for my Biology I and II courses to a group of up to 10 students. In these sessions we would go over difficult concepts in class and do worksheet exercises and previous exam reviews. I grew up in Lisbon and Portuguese is my first language. From vocabulary to accent, to correct intonation, I guarantee that the experience of learning Portuguese with me will be a complete one.

All these exposures have given me the experience necessary to continue with tutoring into to my adult life. My teaching method gives students the ability to learn in an easy and efficient way.
