"My educational journey began with a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry, and this foundation propelled me into a Doctorate in Biomedical Science, where I gained experience in teaching and research. Throughout my academic career, I was fortunate to gain teaching experience as a graduate school teaching assistant. In this role, I led graduate lab sessions, facilitated discussions, and provided one-on-one support to students.
Beyond the classroom, I have tutored students of various ages and educational backgrounds for almost four years. My experience spans middle and high school students, where I have tutored subjects such as algebra, geometry, trigonometry, biology, and chemistry. I’ve also helped sharpen writing skills, particularly in crafting essays for classes and college applications. My student-centered approach focuses on building a solid foundation in core concepts while encouraging critical thinking and problem-solving.
For college-aged students, my tutoring has extended to essay editing and writing support, whether for coursework or program/scholarship/graduate school applications. I’ve provided guidance in biology and biochemistry, helping students navigate the rigors of these demanding subjects. I have also worked with adult learners, particularly those preparing for graduate-level programs. Teaching and tutoring students at various levels and walks of life has been a rewarding experience, allowing me to draw on my academic and professional journey to offer advice and support. My teaching philosophy is to be patient, adaptable and committed to helping students realize their unique way of learning and absorbing information." less...
