In 1999, I moved to Dallas, Texas and became a licensed Professional Engineer as a project manager for Dallas County Public Works. After graduating from college, I've continued tutoring math while working as PE for over 20 years.
I've realized over the years that math is more of a language that students have a difficult time interpreting/understanding. And I have found out that using practical ways that connects with the students has opened their eyes to see all of the various concepts of math.
