"Excelling as a pre-med student is demanding enough. Preparing for the MCAT can seem overwhelming, as it did to me. My goal is to make the entire process as low-stress and empowering as possible, giving you the confidence in your content knowledge and test-taking skill going into test day. Your MCAT score will be one part of your application that you will not have to worry about, and likely one that will impress admissions committees at your dream schools.
I make these claims as a current Boston University medical student who scored in >95th percentile in the Chemical and Physical Foundations, Biological and Biochemical Foundations, and CARS sections of the current MCAT exam (proof of scores can be provided upon request). My undergraduate degree is in Neuroscience from the College of William & Mary. I additionally hold a Masters of Science degree in Medical Science from Boston University School of Medicine.
With more than 4 years of experience in science tutoring throughout college and graduate school I have developed effective methods and approaches tailored to the needs of individual students. My approach begins by understanding the current knowledge and needs of my students, working with the to build a study plan that works for them, building regular practice to gain skill and confidence, and having dedicated support before test day. Tutoring will be driven by what you, the student, need to get the score you want. That's why your first lesson is free on my end (Wyzant collects a minimum fee). Please feel free to contact me to schedule an initial lesson and let's get you where you want to go!" less...
