"My name is Sophie, and I graduated summa cum laude from the Fashion Institute of Technology with a Bachelor’s Degree in Fashion Business Management and a specialization in Buying and Planning. Throughout college, I did several internships in preparation for the launch of my career. In doing so, I learned very quickly how much of the job responsibilities involved Microsoft Office, and decided to become an expert. By taking Excel courses, and teaching myself along the way, I was able to leverage my technical skill set to stand apart from other applicants joining the workforce post-graduation, and I am now five years into my career as a buyer. Proficiency in Microsoft Office is now a fundamental requirement for numerous positions in the American job market, and I would love the opportunity to help develop someone's skills ahead of joining the workforce, or polish someone's existing skills so that they may further refine their professional toolkit.

Throughout my career, I have been actively training my colleagues and peers in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word. My approach involves conducting sessions both in group settings and through one-on-one instruction. The core of my training method revolves around guiding participants through exercises step by step, encouraging note-taking throughout. Subsequently, I prompt students to independently replicate the exercises, offering continuous support and clarification as needed. This method ensures comprehensive learning and a thorough understanding of the platforms, but I know that everyone learns differently, at their own speeds, so my method can easily be adjusted to accommodate each individual’s needs.
