I am currently getting two masters degrees in archaeology and geology, as well as my museum studies certificate.
I have been tutoring others for over five years now. I've been a teaching and a lab assistant for several different classes, so I do have a teaching background. I have run practice labs and study groups in Ballroom, history, and religion before, and have worked one-on-one with many of my students in all subjects! I love helping them all succeed! I know firsthand that school can be a struggle, and that a good tutor can make all of the difference.
My desire to tutor stemmed from a very difficult semester. I was able to find a few wonderful tutors that were able to help me salvage the semester and my self-esteem. They were very supportive, even checking up on me after to see how I did on my exams and my homework. I have adopted the same approach. I support you. I encourage you to make changes to your daily routine (like eating and sleeping) that help increase academic performance, I help with homework and tests, and I am there if you need some mental support. Everything from living a healthy lifestyle to improving study habits will help increase academic performance, and I try to help facilitate that.
I tutor for classes I have taken, that way, I can best assist you in learning the material and what to expect. There are exceptions, depending on the class, so be sure to check with me to see what classes I will help with!
I absolutely adore the social sciences, history in particular. I have worked, over the years, to expand my knowledge in history as much as possible! I work hard to make sure that my students can understand more than just the facts, but the links that connect everything in history together. It brings me joy when my students can succeed in learning this topic." less...
