I'm in my third year of graduate school at Stanford working on my PhD in Bioengineering under Mark Davis. I love school, and both at Caltech and at Stanford I enrolled in difficult courses because I enjoy an academic challenge, achieving nearly perfect grades. For example, I finished quantum physics, computer algorithms, graduate-level chemical engineering thermodynamics, and machine learning courses all aside from my major in bioengineering. At Caltech I was a Barry Goldwater Scholar, and my Stanford PhD is funded by the National Science Foundation GRFP award.
I have tutored quantitative subjects for the past 8 years, including engineering mathematics, chemistry, physics, and computer science in java, python, C++, or matlab. I have also acted as a course assistant at Stanford and Caltech for courses in molecular biology, systems biology, and data analysis on high-performance computing clusters. Additionally, every summer I lead an 8-week biodesign course for high school students in the Bay Area. In this Stanford Bioengineering Bootcamp program, I guide students as they identify a clinical need and work in teams to prototype biodevice solutions. I would love to bring my extensive studies and past teaching experience to help local students interested in science and engineering." less...
