"Hi, I'm Mayowa! I have years of experience tutoring students from elementary school to college. I have a Bachelor of Science in Human Biology from Logan University (where I achieved Summa Cum Laude distinction and a consistent 4.0 GPA). I also received the President's Honor Roll from Logan for making the dean's list during all the trimesters that I spent there. While I can and have tutored a broad range of subjects, my areas of specialization are Math and English subjects such as Algebra, Calculus (I & II), Reading Comprehension, and Literature. I enjoy helping students solve problems by explaining the process and allowing them to think critically. I often focus on repetition and pinpointing tricky concepts so that the knowledge gained from practicing said concepts can be retained.

My belief and approach for tutoring students is that no topic can't be mastered as long as effort is put in and the student is willing to do so. I know what it's like to struggle with concepts that seem daunting from the offset, so I like to balance important qualities like patience, empathy, and explanatory actions while pushing students to persevere and overcome the academic challenges they face.
