I have 20 years of teaching experience and students consistently rate me as one of their most understanding and kind professors. I hold a PhD and three masters degrees. I work at the rank of full professor at a private liberal arts college with a focus in the humanities, especially religion, theology, gender studies, peace studies, and honors seminars. I help individual students regularly, so I have years of tutoring experience overall.

My ideal tutoring students are adults of any age, especially college and graduate students. High school students are also welcome to reach out. I also have experience working with learners who are highly sensitive, intellectually intense, gifted, twice exceptional, and/or neurodiverse. I also once worked in a tutoring office for adult English Language Learners, helping them with writing and public speaking.

A fun fact about me is that I’m also a mindfulness coach, so I bring a very calm and grounding tone to my tutoring. If you are feeling very anxious about doing well on your task, you don’t have to hide that from me in tutoring, and I might be a particularly good fit for you
