"Hey there, I am Nissi (aka Miss Isi). I graduated with a Bachelor's of Science, majoring in mathematics with a minor in education. I can't say that I have always liked math, but I did grow more and more interested in the subject in middle school and learned that I understood each topic better when I, not only practiced problems, but taught my classmates as well.

By the time I was was in high school, I would help fellow students grasp concepts that were hard for them to understand. There was an instance in college, where we had a first year professor for our statistics class, and she could not explain to our class a certain concept. There was a point at which I had to correct her a few times and then ultimately I had to go up and explain to the class the concept. By then I really enjoyed math and loved the 'lightbulb' moment that kids would have when they finally understood what I was teaching.

I am a Certified 7-12 Math teacher, and have taught Algebra 2 in the classroom setting for 5 years, along with that, I taught a year of Geometry and 3 years College Prep Math. I am currently tutoring a student in Algebra 1 and am looking forward to meeting and working with eager students who want to learn, understand, and tackle this challenging subject of Mathematics." less...
