"Hello, all! I am currently a first grade educator in the state of Georgia. I have been working with children between the ages of 2-11 since 2017. I served as a youth program specialist at the Boys and Girls Club AND a preschool/pre-k teacher at the Sunshine House Early Learning Academy. I am a graduate of Georgia State University with a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education and a concentration in general special education. I recently attained my Education Specialist degree and Gifted Certification from Augusta University.

I enjoy working with my students and it is the best part of my day. I became an educator because I love knowing that I made an impact on the lives of each individual in my classroom. I am deciding to do tutoring in my free time during this pandemic because our students truly need it right now. I am willing to extend assistance to help those who may be in need!

Math has been one of my strongest subject areas during my educational career. It is a subject that requires critical thinking and problem solving. I am able to assist students with working through problems step by step to increase understanding, and I am also able to increase fluency through math games/practice.

I am currently an ELA teacher for elementary students. Each day, I work with students to find ways to combat areas of improvement for reading and writing through small groups, running records, vocabulary review, and comprehension passages. Phonics is the foundation for these things and I have numerous resources to use to improve phonemic awareness.
