"Hello, my name is Gaby! I am a graduate from the University of California, Riverside where I received my Master’s in Education and my Chemistry Teaching Credential.
My background: I have 5+ years’ experience tutoring in Organic Chemistry. I have tutored students from a variety of different background ranging from community colleges to ivy league schools.
My purpose: To help you succeed by providing you with the tips and tricks I’ve accumulated over the years to master Organic Chemistry. I’m motivated by seeing students improve their understanding and build up their confidence the more we work together. I believe that you are more than capable of succeeding and my job is to break down the material in a way that makes sense to you. My greatest accomplishment as a tutor has been working with students who were at risk of failing turn their grades around and finish the course at the top of their class.
My approach: Every professor takes a different approach to teaching Organic Chemistry, so I adapt my teaching method based on your needs. I will help you navigate the course by gauging your current level of understanding and help you develop the understanding and skills that are the most crucial for success. I will point out common areas of misconception and provide you with tools to solve problems effectively and efficiently.
My resources: In Organic Chemistry, practice makes perfect. Therefore, I have created my own set of guided notes, reaction summaries, and practice problems. These resources have the been developed from years of experience and exposure to practice exams and hundreds of hours studying lectures and reading major textbooks. These resources are made available to my students to help summarize a large volume of information, break down complex topics, and prepare students to answer standard exam questions.
Feel free to contact me with any questions or to schedule a session. I look forward to working together!" less...
