"Hello. My name is Carly and I am an Ohio certified elementary educator. I have a passion for helping children feel confident in their abilities and excited about learning. I am a graduate of Vanderbilt University and have experience using research-based effective curriculum for teaching reading, writing, and math.

My teaching style involves providing hands-on, exciting materials and experiences that get kids excited about what they will be learning. I use assessments throughout the teaching process to understand exactly what students know in order to target gaps in learning that exist. I enjoy tracking student growth and showing students their success!

I am more than happy to work with students and parents to create lessons that support student needs as well as provide support with homework and school requirements.

I am an experienced math teacher with access to nationally used, research-based math curriculum that has proven to improve math ability.

I am passionate about teaching children how to read. I incorporate structured phonics instruction in addition to a guided reading format which focuses on using phonics, sight word, and comprehension skills to read real and enjoyable books!
