"Hello! My name is Emily! I received my BS in Early Childhood Education PK-4 in May of 2020 from Duquesne University and will earn my MA in Special Education in August of 2021. As a recent college graduate, I have been exposed to a myriad of school settings and hands on experiences. I have had the opportunity to discover my values as a teacher.

It is important to me that students find learning exciting and engaging. I keep my students engaged through hands on activities and practices that they will be able to apply to the rest of their academic career. I am a big fan of hands on activities and keeping my students as engaged as possible. When a student is having fun, they are more willing to learn. I know I am doing my job.

I have mentored with Higher Achievement in math, where I have implemented a myriad of activities to help engage my mentees! I focus on building a steady foundation for math skills through games, songs, and lots of practice.
