"With a Master's Degree and over 10 years of elementary experience, I enthusiastically enjoy teaching students in Pre-K through Grade 6. Although I am highly qualified to teach all elementary subject areas, I take the greatest pride in tutoring struggling readers.

I have taught in New England and the desert Southwest, but recently moved to WNC to begin a new teaching adventure. I eagerly look forward to assisting you and your child on your own educational adventure.

As a first grade teacher, I taught reading strategies that focused on comprehension, fluency, phonemic awareness, sight words, and deciding. In math, I taught basic skills focusing on number sense, addition, subtraction, word problems, money, time, basic geometry, and basic fractions.

As a reading and math tutor, I taught all elementary grades and focused on the students' individualized needs.
