"Hello! I’m Eden. I am an undergraduate student pursuing a degree in biology with minors in psychology and philosophy. I am also a certified, Nationally Registered EMT. As a tutor, I can assist with the following subjects: biology, anatomy, physiology, writing, proofreading, and English.

As a nationally registered emergency medical technician and after completing a high-school level anatomy and physiology course with an A, I can deliver relevant tutoring knowledge to my students.

Outside of my science knowledge, my language arts skills in English remain strong. My English and writing courses were always some of my favorite subjects. I believe that writing and language skills are of the utmost importance. As a college student, my writing-intensive course GPA is 3.8.

In my tutoring approach, I have found that connecting with my students and learning their interests has helped me build connections with their material to facilitate learning.

In the past year, I’ve tutored students from local high schools in biology for a volunteer program with one-on-one, in-person, hour-long sessions. I will continue to work in the program for STEP students this academic school year. In this experience, I leave the floor open to questions and prompting for a more thorough understanding if requested. I help with leftover lab work, homework, and study guide development.

Outside of my volunteer tutoring work, I have two years of student-teaching experience with elementary and middle school-aged students. Additionally, I have experience working with kids of all ages -from kindergarten to high school- in group settings from my time as a camp counselor and lifeguard.

My goal is always to help students build their understanding of the material. My work is important to me, and I hope my tutoring sessions will benefit my students to the utmost extent. Further, I encourage parents or guardians to send me questions and suggestions.

Don't hesitate to get in touch with me with any questions! I’m looking forward to working wi" less...
