"With over ten years of experience teaching middle school English, writing, grammar, and vocabulary, I am passionate about empowering students to reach their full potential. I specialize in working with students who struggle with executive functioning skills, including those with ADHD and students identified as gifted and talented learners.
As a certified executive function coach, I have undergone specialized training through EF Specialist, Learning and the Brain, and PTS Coaching. I hold a Master of Arts in Teaching Secondary Education, a Graduate Certificate in Gifted Education from Liberty University, and a Bachelor of Arts in English from Auburn University. I am also pursuing a Graduate Certificate in Educational Therapy at the University of California, Riverside.
Throughout my career, I have had the privilege of working with a diverse range of learners, including neurodiverse students, and I am committed to creating an inclusive, supportive environment where every student can thrive. Whether it's helping students build foundational English skills, improve executive functioning, or unlock their strengths, I strive to make each lesson engaging and tailored to individual needs.
In addition to my work in the classroom, I co-authored Encounters with Archetypes: Integrated ELA Lessons for Gifted and Advanced Learners and have provided parent and teacher training sessions to support neurodiverse learners.
Outside of tutoring, I enjoy spending time with my family, traveling, and reading. I look forward to helping your student succeed and grow academically and personally!" less...
