"I'm Schuyler, but you can call me Skye! I graduated college with an Associates Degree in General Science and then obtained my Bachelors Degree from Texas A&M University in Animal Science. My love for learning does not stop there as I am currently pursuing a degree in Equine Osteopathy. This additional training will allow me to apply my knowledge of anatomy and physiology to the well-being of horses and my dedication to animal health and welfare.

I have 8 years experience of teaching in a general classroom. My certifications are in Life Science 7-12 and Science grades 4-8.

Throughout my eight years of teaching, I have had the privilege of working with students of various ages and backgrounds. Six of those years were teaching biology and anatomy and physiology at high school. For two years I taught science at the 4th and 5th grade level. In my roles as a high school biology and A&P teacher, I taught students ages 14-18, providing instruction of topics, including cells, genetics, ecology, and the organ systems. As an elementary science teacher, I worked with students ages 9-11. Throughout each experience I learned different teaching styles to meet each individual of their unique needs and create a plan to help them further succeed. I also incorporated activities to enhance student learning and engagement. Additionally, I offered one-on-one support to students who required extra assistance outside of classroom hours. Including, individualized support for preparing students for the standardized assessments like the Texas Biology STAAR EOC and Texas STAAR-Grade 5 Science EOC.

I am passionate about helping students develop a strong foundation in science and inspiring them to become lifelong learners.
