"My name is Charlotte B. and I have been teaching Biology and Life Sciences for five years. I have a dual degree in Biology and Education from Florida State University.
While pursuing my degree I worked at The Challenger Learning Center as a camp curriculum writer and leader for the summer science camps. I also worked on demos for field trips and as a traveling teacher for one day lessons in high needs schools. I graduated in 2015 and have taught in Florida and New York. I currently hold a Florida Teacher Certification in Biology 6-12 and a New York Teacher Certification in Life Sciences 7-12. I have been a high school teacher in Florida for 4 years and a middle school teacher for 1 year. I have enjoyed working with elementary students at science camps and love being a high school teacher. I have experience in working with kids of all ages and love watching people of any age engage and enjoy learning something new. I have been teaching and tutoring others since I was young and it is what lead me to my current career. Building relationships with my students is my favorite part of being a teacher and working one on one with others is what truly helps people learn.
I have a Bachelor's degree in Biology and am currently working on obtaining my Master's in Microbiology from the University of Florida. I have 4 years experience in preparing students for the Florida Biology EOC which is 30% of students' graduation required Biology course.
I became the head of the Biology department at my school in my second year of teaching. I have created lesson plans, tests, and materials for the Biology team and have access to a variety of resources . I have worked with high needs populations for the entirety of my teaching career and therefore, know how to break down concepts at the level needed.
I am conversationally fluent in Spanish and if you are an ESOL student currently in Biology I have experience working with these students.I am very excited to work with students of all levels. I want to help you improve your grad" less...
