"My name is Claudia. I am a certified Italian as a Second Language Instructor and a Cultural Facilitator from Italy. I am also a CELTA-certified Instructor (Cambridge Assessment English), and I teach English as a Second Language to adult learners of any level of proficiency (A0-C2 CEFR). Moreover, I am a California-certified middle/ high school teacher with a Single Subject Teaching Credential in English Language Arts (ELA) with an English Learner Authorization (ESL), Spanish with a Bilingual Authorization BASP, and Italian.

I have been tutoring both in person and online for almost 13 years. I hold a Master’s degree in Philosophy (History of Philosophy and Ethics) and a Master’s in Teaching Italian to foreign learners, a Certificate of Proficiency in English C2 (Cambridge Assessment English), and a CELTA certificate for Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages. I also specialized in English Pedagogy and Teaching Reading at the University of California, Riverside.

As a freelance instructor, I developed my teaching materials and refined my passion for e-learning, online platforms, tools, and technologies. This enabled me to deliver a flexible and tailored learning experience to all my students.

Being truly keen on languages and literature, I studied Latin, Greek, and German. I also collect hundreds of books, read extensively, and travel as much as possible. I have many other passions, such as music—I play electric guitar and hold a degree in Blues Rock—and cooking—I am a certified "Pizzaiola."
