"Hello, my name is Jen. I have over 20 years of experience teaching languages. Mandarin is my native language, and I hold a bachelor’s degree in Chinese Language and Literature. I have taught English-speaking students of various ages, professions, and backgrounds. My students find me responsible, patient, and encouraging. I focus on helping students build a strong foundation and make quick progress while keeping lessons engaging and interactive, whether in private tutoring or larger class settings.

Our classes will cover reading and conversation, writing Chinese characters and eventually essays. There will also be ample opportunities to expand your knowledge on Chinese history, culture and literature in the process of language learning. I will work with you to set up your learning objectives, provide suggestions on selecting learning materials tailored to your needs and abilities, and devise a learning schedule that works best for you. The ultimate goal is to improve your Mandarin in the most efficient and interesting way.
