"Experiencing the "Aha" moment with my students is one of my greatest joys in teaching! I am passionate about my students truly understanding mathematics rather than memorizing and repeating.

One of my favorite teaching experiences was working as an adjunct instructor for College Prep Math courses at a local community college. My tutoring experience began in high school when I was asked to help a family member, and it has been of interest to me since then.

I'm certified as a Math 4-8 and EC-6 generalist teacher and began teaching because I wanted to help as many students as I could gain an understanding of math. Math is everywhere, and I want people to see it! I realized quickly that working with small groups and tutoring was my preference. This enables me to work intentionally with each of my students and meet their needs better.

I have taught grades from elementary to higher education over the past ten years, with the bulk of my experience in pre-algebra and middle school math.

I was a Title I Tutor for two years and worked with an intervention team to create and teach lessons in preparation for STAAR testing as well.
