"Hi, I'm Anika!

I'm a certified 6-12 math teacher with six years of middle and high school classroom experience. I have a Bachelor's degree in mathematics and have taken multiple classes on students' learning to fulfill teaching license requirements. I've also tutored students before and after school through my six years of teaching, and I love helping my students deepen their understanding of math. My teaching philosophy centers on encouraging students to always ask questions- whether they're confused or simply in need of assurance. I believe that on providing a safe space for open discussions help students gain a deeper grasp of concepts and foster a positive learning experience.

With a strong knowledge of math and how students learn, I tailor my approach to each individual, ensuring that we move at a pace that's comfortable for them while challenging their thinking. I have taught Pre-Algebra through Algebra 2 in my classroom experience, working with small groups to classes up to 35. I have an abundance of resources to pull from to help strengthen knowledge.
