"Nervous about the upcoming school year? Hoping to help your son/daughter with some additional instruction in middle/ high school social studies?

My name is Adam, and I am a NYS certified Social Studies 7-12 teacher with an additional certification in 5-12 Literacy. I have also taken Doctoral courses in the field of adolescent literacy as well. Services that I can offer include the following:

- Aligned instruction paced with your child’s 7-12 class work

- Individualized writing/reading/skill instruction, especially for those students in NYS Regent’s courses

- Instruction with current class assignments that is geared towards learning and skill building, not telling of answers

- Resource acquisition and use

I can provide most any resource necessary and am amicable to working remotely or in person, depending on comfort level of yourself and the student. Additionally, as I am a teacher working in a high school, I am unavailable until 3:15 (depending on travel) and have limited availability in the evenings/weekends.

My teaching experience includes 8 years of teaching in NYS public schools, 9 different courses, including every NYS Regent’s course grades 7-12, and work with diverse populations, including Foreign language learners, special education students, and high achievers.
