"I am an experienced science teacher. I have thirteen years of full-time classroom experience in three school districts, and two years of part-time online instruction experience. I have worked with students in grades 7-12.

The biggest reward for me in teaching is when I am able to help a discouraged student who has struggled with science concepts be successful and realize that they are capable of mastering the subject content. I want my students to know that with my help they will be successful in this course and in future courses. I enjoy teaching study skills and memory aids to my students that they can use in their science courses, and in other courses too.

I have bachelor's and master's degrees in Biology, and a master's degree in Landscape Architecture. I have taught Life Science, Physical Science, Biology, Environmental Science, Marine Science, Forensic Science and Astronomy at the secondary level (middle and high school).

I am certified to teach Biology and General Science at the secondary level (grades 7-12) in Alabama and Florida. As part of my qualifications, I earned the ETS Recognition of Excellence for the Praxis II Exams in both Biology and General Science Content Knowledge.
