"Hi! I'm Katie. I graduated from the University of South Florida with a degree in Elementary Education and am currently certified in K-5 education with Gifted, ESOL, and Reading endorsements in Florida. After 10+ highly successful years in the classroom, including Teacher of the Year in 2020, I am looking for a new challenge as a tutor.

I'm always looking for engaging ways to challenge my students while also making sure they master all the skills and content necessary to be highly successful. This may include creating games to review or practice content/skills, making analogies that are relevant to the student so that they can access the information later on their own, or guiding them through cognitive thinking. By periodically rechecking for understanding, I can move through concepts/skills at their own pace in a systematic process. During my time in the classroom, I have collected many resources and skills to help students that will make your time with me as effective as possible.
