"Hello! I am an elementary school teacher who is dual certified in both General Education as well as Special Education. I have been an LBS (Learning Behavior Specialist, which is a fancy term for Special Education teacher!) for the last 8 years. I have been teaching for over 10 years and have my Master's degree in Teaching and Learning with an emphasis in Differentiated Instruction from University of St. Francis.

One of my passions is helping students learn how to become more confident and fluent readers. I absolutely love getting to see the progress students make over time as they continually become stronger readers right before my eyes, which goes on to help them in every other area both academically and socially. I have used many different approaches for this depending on the needs of the student. I am also passionate about bridging the gap between the way math has traditionally been taught and the way it is currently being taught as part of Common Core.
