"Before becoming a stay-at-home mom to my four children, I worked for three years as a Special Education teacher, covering many grades from pre-kindergarten through ninth grade. (I'm now a homeschooling mom and have been providing private tutoring services for over 7 years.) I loved helping my students grow academically and personally to overcome obstacles, such as Autism Spectrum Disorders, ADD/ADHD, learning disabilities, emotional disorders, reading struggles, etc. I strive to create fun, interactive lessons to help students learn - and enjoy the learning process! I've seen great success among my students by using tactile and visual resources as much as possible.

I am also fluent in American Sign Language and have worked as an Interpreter for the Deaf. I am available to tutor students who wish to learn the language, as well as to tutor students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing (or whose parents/caregivers are Deaf or Hard of Hearing). I am willing to use either English or American Sign Language as the primary language in which to tutor, depending on the needs of the student.
