"I’m Anjanae, a certified high school teacher with a Bachelor’s degree in Secondary English Education. I’ve taught ninth grade English for three years and Algebra I for two years. I absolutely love working with students and helping them reach their full potential, so much that I wish I could spend more individual time with each one in my classes, but since that isn’t always possible in a public school setting, I’ve chosen to now offer my skills through one-on-one/small group tutoring.
I strive to make lessons as relatable to each individual student and their experiences as possible. I focus on breaking down complex topics into more familiar language and concepts the student can easily understand and make connections with in order to ensure the content is actually learned and retained instead of just memorized. I believe all students have unique learning styles and can learn anything given the right guidance and I have the patience, experience and expertise to help make sure it happens.
