"I'm Dee M! I graduated Cum Laude with a BA in Elementary Education and Music from Rowan University. I have been employed by Millville Public Schools as an Elementary school teacher certified highly qualified K-8 for twenty-two years. I am currently an RTI Interventionist supporting our at-risk students, ensuring academic, emotional and social needs are met.

I have experience identifying students in need and delivering instruction based on their needs. Implementing interventions based on targeted needs is the objective. Students are assessed, research- based interventions are implemented and growth is monitored and celebrated. I strive to keep the students motivated through goal setting and positive rewards, celebrating achievement of goals. Data is shared with students to encourage and foster motivation.

I have experience with Guided Reading, LLI, Read Live/Read Naturally, Repeated Reading and numerous research- based interventions to facilitate growth in the areas of need in phonemic awareness, phonics, reading fluency and comprehension. I also provide interventions for Math fluency, computation and concepts that is measured initially through a benchmark diagnostic assessment and screener. Progress is monitored weekly; goals are set and growth rates are measured and celebrated. I helped to facilitate our district Summer Acceleration Program and our after-school tutoring program, working with students to address areas of concern and foster learning.
