"Hello, I am a certified teacher who is looking for the opportunity to tutor outside of the classroom. I have a Bachelors of Arts in History and a Masters of Arts in Teaching. After working to earn my degrees, I worked to accumulate a little over 6 years’ experience teaching inside of the classroom. I have an additional 2 years’ experience working as a substitute teacher and as a historical interpreter at a historical site in Virginia. I have worked with different age groups in my church's Sunday school department and have taught in both public and private schools.
Reading instruction, comprehension building, writing, grammar, work study associated with spelling success, social studies, and history form the background of my experience. I have taught 1st, 2nd, and 4th grades and also have additional experience with elementary math and science, test taking skills, research skills, and how to analyze information to draw the conclusions needed to function in all disciplines. I have worked with implementing STEM activities into learning experiences and believe in teaching critical thinking at all levels. I love working with our future leaders. I love knowledge and hope to pass on my love for knowledge and learning to others as I serve the community.

I am also an outstanding instructor of history and similar fields because I believe in linking multiple concepts such as historical thinking and causation. I like t" less...
