"I am a retired developmental optometrist whose practice was limited to examinations and vision therapy to cure learning-related vision problems. I started tutoring in 2011 and shortly thereafter became certified in tutoring and academic coaching by the National Tutoring Association.

I love watching my students experience the "aha" moment when, through my guidance, they finally understand a concept that has been difficult for them. I enjoy incorporating humor during the tutoring session to make it more enjoyable.

I have always loved math and I used it daily in my profession.
