Why should you choose me?

I keep my rates low because I enjoy working with immigrants and middle school students. I also love helping with application essays to colleges, med schools, law schools, special programs, jobs. There is something very exciting about working with people who are on the brink of something new.

With a PhD from American University in American History, I’ve tutored individual students in writing, history, and social studies, ranging from elementary schoolers to college graduates. I edit books, articles, speeches--most anything that uses words to get a point across.

Over the years, I've taught workshops at the National Archives, classes at American University, served as an author's editor for award-winning American histories, edited presentations, and for 14 years was the historian and sponsor for an annual community oral history project involving about 125 eighth graders at our local middle school.
