"I am a PhD Chemical Engineering candidate who is passionate about the discipline. I received my Master's in Chemical Engineering in May 2023 from Florida State University and my Bachelor's in Chemical Engineering in August 2017 from Georgia Institute of Technology. Furthermore, I am currently a Research Assistant, but have also been an instructor for Chemical Engineering Computations in Fall 2022. Additionally, I am an internationally certified tutor and also enjoy teaching the discipline! My favorite pillar within chemical engineering is Transport Phenomena as I feel this is one of the most important to the discipline. However, through my research, I have also become versed in Thermodynamics, Thermal Physics, and Statistical Mechanics, and in terms of importance to the discipline, these pillars are arguably the most critical. Ultimately, the pursuit to becoming an effective Thermodynamicist is never ending! Because I am a chemical engineer, I am also well versed in mathematics.
In addition, I am patient, but will push the student when needed. Furthermore, I have both practical and academic experiences to base my lessons on (ask me about my research).
My tutoring philosophy requires students to be willing to work on the problem and struggle before I step in. This ensures that proper critical thinking is achieved. From my experiences, the most effective way to learn Chemical Engineering is through example problems. As a tutor, I want to be a guide or crutch to problem solving, rather than a lecturer. However, when the time comes to explain, I will go through the problem step by step ensuring the student understands the concept.
