"I believe the purpose of education is to learn how to learn. I have hundreds of hours of one-on-one teaching experience. With my experience I can bring real world examples to aid in learning. Most importantly, I enjoy teaching and helping people succeed.

I received a Masters of Science in Chemistry from Missouri State University through their accelerated Masters program in 2015. During my undergraduate studies, I worked as a tutor for the Learning Diagnostic Clinic on campus. There I tutored college students with learning disabilities. This was on a one-on-one and in-person. The method used was to discuss the current topic and work through problems, while helping the student understand both the question asked and the approach needed to find the answer.

As a graduate student, I taught general chemistry and organic chemistry labs. The classes began with a lecture over the days lab procedure. Then guidance would be given individually as needed. My method of guidance was to ask the student questions that lead them to finding the correct answer.

After graduate school I worked as a laboratory manager for 7 years. As a lab manager I was responsible for training and testing lab technicians for certification in our daily testing procedures. I also taught analytical chemistry at Ozarks Technical Community College. This class was a combination lecture and lab class.
