"I have been the honor's chemistry and anatomy and physiology teacher at a High School for sophomores and juniors for 8 consecutive years. I graduated from the University of Arizona with my Bachelors in ecology and evolutionary biology and a minor in science education and a Masters degree in teaching and teacher education. My passion for teaching comes from my own struggles in high school science. I found a teacher that took me under his wing and showed me that science isn't just for the "smart kids". My confidence was heightened and I found a new passion for learning. My students may not find that same passion for science, however I want to push them to find their passion for learning.

I absolutely love teaching high school. I have tutored many peers in classes throughout my undergraduate career both at the University of Arizona and at Central Arizona College. My education has not only made me an expert in my field but has also helped me gain insights to how students learn about biology and chemistry. In studying education I have learned that the most efficient way to learn something is to teach it. I have also learned that education is not about how well I can explain a topic to a student, but how well I can get the students to explain a topic to me.

I am very flexible when it comes to scheduling! I'm willing to travel wherever you are most comfortable learning and I will do my best to help you understand.
