"Hello! I’m Jakob, a recent graduate with a degree in Chemistry from Seattle University, where I discovered a passion for organic chemistry and graduated at the top of my class in organic, physical, and biochemistry. My teaching experience spans 1 year as an in-class assistant for elementary students and 3 years as a TA and tutor for college-level physics, math and chemistry.

As a tutor, I focus on three core values:

Engagement and Approachability: I believe a good tutor is like a good therapist—they create a welcoming, proactive learning environment where questions are encouraged. I have experience working with neurodivergent students and those with test-taking anxiety, and I try my best to make you feel supported and confident in your learning.

Respect for Your Time: I understand that school is expensive and students are often overloaded. My aim is to make each session efficient. I have a large toolbox of supplemental materials for every subject I teach that I use to streamline your learning.
